Tuna Salad Plate with Crackers, Cucumber, and Grapes
Ingredients
- 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp celery seed
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill (or 2 tsp dried dill)
- 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 2 cups cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 cup green or red grapes, halved
- 1 cup crackers (about 1 sleeve), for serving
- salt, to taste
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, celery seed, garlic powder, black pepper, and a pinch of salt.
- Add tuna, red onion, celery, and dill to the bowl. Gently fold until evenly coated.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt and lemon juice if needed.
- To assemble, divide the tuna salad among 4 plates.
- Arrange cucumber slices, and scatter grapes alongside each plate.
- Serve with crackers on the side (or place a small pile on each plate just before eating).
Cooking tips
- Use drained tuna (and gently squeeze it) to keep the salad light and prevent sogginess. - For best crunch, slice cucumbers just before assembling and pat them dry with a paper towel. - If you like a creamier texture, mash a portion of the tuna with the dressing before folding everything together. - Taste and adjust with an extra squeeze of lemon or a pinch of salt right before serving. - Serve crackers on the side (or wait to add right before eating) to keep them crisp.
